Latest Arsenal transfer rumours: Mikel Arteta makes Dani Ceballos and Kieran Tierney decision

All the very latest Arsenal transfer rumours and gossip ahead of Mikel Arteta's first summer in charge at the Emirates Stadium

With question marks over some Gunners stars' future at the Emirates, it could well be a busy summer at the club.

Here are the latest Arsenal transfer rumours.

Arteta stands firm on Tierney

Mikel Arteta has no desire to see Kieran Tierney leave Arsenal this summer.

The left-back initially struggled for form and fitness following a £25m move from Celtic last summer but has put in a string of fine displays in recent matches.

“He’s not going anywhere,” Arteta said. “I really like him.

“I’m very impressed him. Everybody loves him at the club and he earns that every single day with the way he treats people, the way he works and the energy he brings to the place.

“And then with his performances, I am delighted. He has adapted really well, he is a player that gives you everything in every session and every game. And the quality he has added as well.

“He’s still so young, he has things to improve obviously but he’s been a great addition to the team.”

Aubameyang decision due to one person

Ian Wright says he expects Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to sign a new contract this summer due to the work Mikel Arteta has done at the club.

There has been plenty of speculation over the striker's future and the Gunners could well be forced to sell him should he decline a new contract.

"It has been changed slowly with what they’ve been doing.

"Once Arteta gets into a situation where he gets the players he wants, you can see something is happening and he’s bringing through the young players.

"I think Aubamayeng will sign and it’s one of those situations now where it’s going to take time but we have to be patient.

"With the midfield, we need more from them and it’s something he’s trying to sort but it’s slowly happening and I’m just pleased we’re going into this Tottenham game with confidence.”

Arteta makes two transfer calls

The Times claim that Mikel Arteta has already made two transfer decisions ahead of the summer window opening.

Arteta is said to have decided he wants to keep Dani Ceballos on a permanent transfer once his loan from Real Madrid comes to an end.

Alongside that, the Gunners boss has reportedly decided to bolster his midfield by making Atletico Madrid's Thomas Partey a priority.

Arteta believes the midfielder is a good fit for his style of football.
